Pick out 5 charities that have a special meaning to you, and donate whatever you can afford. In lieu of giving gifts this year, this is what my family and I are doing.
Thanks for publishing all of these great ideas, which will hopefully encourage more to contribute.

Shopping through We-Care.com lets supporters donate a percentage of their online purchases to their favorite nonprofit. It’s great for people who may be trying to cut back on spending, but still want to donate to charity.
Great job on the list, a superbly inspiring idea!
